Yes that is a great deal!!! And you noticed that people were lined up wanting it almost immediately. One of the people waiting in line is a reseller if that tells you anything. If you are going to wait for a deal like that you could be waiting a long, long time. I got lucky and bought a PicassoIV for $50 once on EBay. I was at the right place at the right time. Because I got it for $50 doesn't mean that someone who pays $400 got a bad deal. Only that I got a better one.

Amiga 4000D in Power Tower

Ha ha ha @Acid “reasonably priced....” That’s a steal for the way the Amiga market is today has can be seen in the amount of interest for it

Yes bargains do come along and if your fast enough to get them your sorted

Like @Dannyp1 says being a lucky bugger with a Picasso IV for $50 I’ve had similar luck with my A4000 that I bought for £200 came with 1942 monitor and a very white keyboard but I doubt I will find one at that price again unless the world’s love of Amiga fade again lol

Anyway it will sell for the price that someone is willing to pay for it

One thing I have noticed is that, the seller on Amibay seem to sell these every so often so you just have to watch for his next one for a bargain buy

If you bought this one (realistically priced to sell - although that was a good deal he could of asked 550-600 and got it no problem) it would leave you almost $1000 for an empty case (of which you would recoup some of that selling the desktop case)....I totally agree with some others on this thread, it's well overpriced.
Overpriced for being in the US? I sold my other A4000 desktop for $850 and it was beat-up, rough condition & not recapped or refurbished in any manner.

These computers are rare in the US. Sure we can buy one from overseas, but the shipping is crazy and chance of being damaged or "lost" is much greater, no matter how well it's packed.

I have to say Mike that I still feel it's overpriced even at your new offer of $1400. Even if A4000s are rare in the US buyers will favour an original desktop, not a dented 3rd party tower with elbox busboard. At 1400 plus shipping and fees I think it's non-stock spec and A3640/040 will not attract any overseas interest. Recapped and refurbished is not a significant enough 'feature' to command the premium you think it does.

Good luck with your sale.

I have two A1200s, so I should be good

I have the most nostalgic feelings for the all-in-one style. So while I am sad, it makes more sense for me to downsize and keep only the items I cherish the most.
