Of course.
At least it was nice to learn there are people who appreciate Turrican although they weren't even born when it was released. |

*starts laughing mildly*...*cough* *cough* *gasp for breath*...*continues laughing*
@Chuck-Rock-Jnr: You could just use Pekaro's T2002-editor and save a lot of already-done-work and just focus on the level layouts... At the weekend I played the T2002-levelpack "Morgul Returns" (version 2.1). It's incredibly, insanely awesome! It consists of 16 very long, but also very well designed levels, good boss-fights and very well composed music. There's even a shmup-stage like in Turrican II (also a jetpack-level). Whereas the original T2002-levels were a bit chaotic I can fully recommend Morgul Returns. But be warned - it's the longest Turrican I've ever played. Takes 3-4 hours to complete... The levelpack, no, the game (it is a standalone game) starts with nice Beast III-backgrounds, later uses some Turrican II PC-level gfx and many Mega/Super Turrican-sprites (including the Turrican-sprite). But mostly this is a remake of Turrican I (Amiga). Play and see for yourself! Recently the same person who created Morgul Returns (Lukasz Maniewski) released "Metroidican" which uses Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion's level graphics and already was praised a lot. I'll try that on the weekend. Get T2002 (including the editor) from: www.pekaro.de (=> "Download") And Levelpacks at: http://www.nemmelheim.de/turrican (=> "Levelbase") P.S. Going by the creator's name I guess Morgul Returns and Metroidican might be the best Polish games ever created... Last edited by john4p; 16 June 2009 at 15:29. |

No! Tbh I've never played one of those - only read about some by browsing through Lemon Amiga's game reviews.
Morgul Returns is just so damn good I think it's fair to assume it's superior to these AMOS games. Btw., since there are a lot of those - could you recommend a few of the best? |

My favorites: Astral, a puzzle platformer with a very memorable insider joke in the intro... character 1: "Coś tutaj miga" ("something is blinking here...") character 2: "A miga, miga" ("indeed, it is blinking it is") Legion, a rpg/strategy with lots of quests and items and a huge world Lost in Mine, a puzzle platformer, nicely done Rebel, a real-time strategy, pretty good |
