Extracting the ClassicWB DOpus setup

I am thinking of creating my own clean install of Workbench, along the lines of the Green Amiga Alien Guides.

However I really like the DOpus setup in ClassicWB, particularly the LHA, LZX and ZIP unarchiving functionality.

How easy would it be to export this functionality, or duplicate it in my own setup? Could anyone give me any pointers, or point me in the direction of some advice?

Just rip out the whole Dopus drawer and copy it somewhere. There will be a few files in the S (configuration?) and C (executables) drawers you'll also need. Plus perhaps some freeware key files in the L drawer for registering one or two of the archivers.

Just look in the Dopus configuration screen to see which programs are called for Archives and the various buttons. It will be things like Lha, Unzip, UnRAR etc. Collect all the files together and dump them in your new install.

I'd be more precise, but don't have access to my ClassicWB setups at the moment so going by memory. Probably a bad thing!!!

as far as i remember Dopus configuration is stored in the s: directory along with the help file
copy that to your new s: then add the extra programs like you say LHA, LZX and ZIP and what ever else you need, simples really
