Need a source that says that the Amiga was a popular game machine

Hello to the universe,
I'm editing the Megadrive/genesis page on wikipedia, because when it was released here in Europe there wasn't really a console popular enough to compete with it (other than its own team, the mastersystem

),

So I want to edit it so it says
"The Sega Genesis was launched to compete with the [[Nintendo Entertainment System]] and [[NEC]]'s [[TurboGrafx-16|PC-Engine]] in Japan and North America, video game consoles wasn´t so very popular in Europe at launch so it competitors were considered to be the [[Amiga 500]] and [[Atari ST]], see [[Amiga games]]."

(the [[]]'s are for those handy tandy links to another wiki page)

But apparently I can't use Wikipedia as a source and it got removed,
I think the Amiga and Atari ST definitely needs a mention. as they where huge players in the European market. and the page as of now gives the false impression that the NES was dominating the European market (thank you nintendo fanboy !)

So, can anyone please help me ?

I think Sega Genesis was too different and too advanced to compete with NES and PC Engine.

And s2325, yeah same here but that is what it says on wiki before I edited it.

If someone else has a nice "source", please reply, the more the better !
