Hardware wish list
I had a dream last night. I dreamt that I found an old A1000 and rubbed it... and of course out came a genie
Rather than grant 3 generic wishes he said I was allowed to wish for any 3 pieces of Amiga hardware. I wished for: 1. CDTV SCSI controller (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showha...gi?HARDID=1251) 2. Progressive Peripherals 68040 for A500 (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showha....cgi?HARDID=84) 3. Amiga Access clone (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showha....cgi?HARDID=39) What would you have wished for? |

I would wish for an A4000 clone mobo, with faster chipset , integrated USB/LAN/GFX/PPC that works with amiga&pc mice/keyboards .... a drop-in replacement mobo with the zorro busboard!

Easy.. I'd wish to see what hardware would be available today if C= never went bust in the first place.
Bit of a lame answer sorry |

@VermillioN - not a lame answer in my book - I've often wondered what would've happened to the Amiga had Commodore not been run into the ground by bad decision making at the top.
What would Haynie & co. have delivered given more time and investment and how far behind would the PC still be? I agree with you, I'd wish for that never developed real Amiga hardware! |

1) Siamese PCI Amiga (68060 version) but with FINISHED software!!!
2) Access Amiga clone 3) Clone A - without a doubt this is the most exciting new development. Minimig will be cool but clone A will be more "professional" and prob more expensive! |

I dont think CloneA will be more expensive since it is designed to be a Amiga in a joystick.
The problem with CloneA it seems as if it is only going to be an A500 clone. At least Jens should add a 100 pin and a 86 pin header if hardcore retro grouches want to hack their own A2000 CPU buss and Zorro slots |

A 1Ghz 68060 with DDR2 would certainly speed along nicely
