Just a quick update on this.
The Devs have managed a temporary fix and you should now be able to log in. I've actually managed to log in for the first time in days. |

It looks like I've landed in the same spot as some people here, getting perm banned at amibay
You have been banned for the following reason: Unfortunately, it has not been possible to complete your registration at this time due to an error. Please contact admin@amibay.com, so that the issue can be identified and resolved by our Administration team. Date the ban will be lifted: Never I've sent emails, tried to contact the admin, still no response. Any idea how to get that resolved? |

If so, then PM me his email addresses (and if possible the user names he tried to register with). When I receive his addresses, I'll try and see if the registration process can be resumed. If it can't be done, then I'll PM you so that you can tell him to register again. I'll warn the other GMs to check the potential email addresses and therefore not to ban them. Thanks for playing the middleman. @davideo: If this is indeed about EAB, I'll clean up these posts once the issue is solved. |

@goolash
PM on the way to you. @All For future reference creating a second account will trigger the security system on new registrations and automatically ban both accounts. I'll try and put a guide together tomorrow night to what is required when registering with AmiBay. Update: @apolkosnik Apologies for the delay but I've now cleared your registration. I've just reactivated my Amigas after 25 years or so and try to get in touch with the community, also Amibay. Sorry for being redundant, but when I tried to register I also received the message "Registration denied, this forum runs an active policy of not allowing spammers. Please contact us via the "Contact Us" page link if you believe this is in error". I have done so in June but got no reply. I still get this message when I re-tried today. Of course I have attemted a clean registration, all information was valid and true.

@Ramon Fuschnik
I'll send you a PM shortly. @All Apologies for not posting earlier as promised. Here's a few pointers to take note of when registering with AmiBay You account will be banned by the security system if you are using a VPN. You can't register with a throwaway email address. You'll need to pass the captcha questions. Your location information must be accurate. You can't have two accounts. If you try to register once and get banned please don't try and register again with a different user name - the security system will normally ban both registrations automatically. If all else fails drop me a PM on here or post within this thread and I'll help as much as I can. |

@Ramon has been cleared and is now a member of AmiBay
@wsoltys I think your gmail.com is the problem. Can you register with a different Email address? Once you're registered you can change your Email address within your profile. |

Unfortunately using another email address didn't help. Received the same database error message. Weird.

@wsoltys
We have had members in recent weeks that have tried three or four times and eventually managed to get through. Can you send a PM to me with the Email address and forum name you're trying to register with please? |

davideo, you're doing a great job assisting people out
...but why is it sooooo difficult for people to register; and then they need to find their way to EAB in order to get help? I've never seen such madness with a site Surely this needs to be looked into / addressed going forward by the Amibay admin / moderators? |
