Marwan Hilmi (the GSoC student working on TFMX support) has a blog if you want to keep an eye on progress: http://www.marwanhilmi.com/

How difficult is it to implement TFMX? The replayer code is available everywhere and many PC softwares support it (like Deliplayer)

Akira is right. Why does he try to reinvent the wheel when UADE is open source and has the solution? Somebody should tell Marwan about it

Two reasons:

1) According to Jon Pickard (link) Monkey Island uses a modified TFMX Pro replayer that is specific to this one game, this is why his own player includes workaround code. Deliplayer/UADE on the other hand use an Amiga replayer which Don Adan/Wanted Team has not released the source of.

2) Marwan already has Jon's source (and format notes) which is GPL'd and portable.

Okay, I didn't know that. I really hope Marwan is sucessful in making a TFMX replayer for ScummVM.

Thanks to Damien, music works in Monkey 1 via SCUMMVM but no SFX. Lame. Monkey 2's music sounds very tame compared to the robust music I'm used to hearing on an Amiga. I think I'll use WinUAE for the first 2 and SCUMM for The Curse of Monkey Island from now on. Works great for that.
