I wrote "The Great Escape Of Billy Burglar" in Amos.
It was put together in two weeks for a CUAmiga compo that was never judged. It's no fun at all but I was very pleased with myself for figuring out the bitplane lighting effect. http://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=2014 |

Hi Bird,
The link you provide seems not to work (for me it downloads a file). This link seems to work : https://syntexamigademo.pagesperso-o.../DemoDown.html I also do sometimes demos in Amos : https://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=14768 If you have some unreleased music, perhaps we will be able to do something with that. (and we could pehaps speak french ) Salut Aghnar |

Tetris Joe Was written in AMOS. I wrote it and the dodgy music. It was 1 or 2 player and was in 32 colours with a COPPER sky and if you pressed "N" it turns all the colours to night-time colours
Does anyone remember Magic Forest - one of the games that came with AMOS? It wasn't the greatest game but I really like the atmosphere it created. I'm sure there was a Magic Forest 2 that came with AMOS Pro but that didn't seem as good somehow. Aaron Fothergill (writer of Magic Forest and Jet Strike) used to answer if you rang the AMOS Helpline. He helped me out with a BOB corruption problem I was having once. They (him and his brother) wrote TOME (Total Map Editor) for AMOS and I think there may have been an early version of Jetstrike that came with that Last edited by Gilbert; 07 July 2021 at 18:06. |

Do you still have the source somewhere? Would love to see it modified so to have a version of Flash Point, possibly one with two players together ^^

Cool, is Flash Point a puzzle game? I can't find it on YouTUbe No sorry not where I live now, but a guy on here asked for about 8 years ago so he could make it public. I sent him the discs and he sent them back to me. So it's probably somewhere around. You are welcome to use it if you want - I never finished it so it's not very well optimised/friendly or even very tidy. I remember just making sure I did certain tasks on different frames so it ran at 50fps. AMOS isn't the fastest but you can fit a lot into one second Last edited by Gilbert; 07 July 2021 at 18:06. |

Here it is:
[ Show youtube player ] Uses same elements as Tetris but to pass the round you need to destroy the glowing dots (or Flash Points) changing the dynamic from mere survival to a timed puzzle game; for two players i envision either a time challenge(whomever finishes first wins) or passing destroyed blocks in a similar way to Puyo Puyo |
