Fantastic looking recent C64 RPG
I wonder if anyone at EAB has purchased games from this company that specializes in keeping C64 gaming alive.
http://www.protovision-online.de/games/newcomer.htm The game here looks amazing. |

Holy Shit Fred, that looks incredible !!! Those are some of the best ever hand drawn graphics i have seen on the C64 ( besides the Art competition for the 64 at Breakpoint, although these images are probably even excel those!! ).
I love the story to it too. I will definately be getting a hold of this game ASAP !!. Thanks for the link |

I've seen that game before ... it is indeed awesome. I wonder if it runs on a standard c64 ? I just can't make myself believe

A couple screens remind me of a space movie demo with music by Ben Daglish. Very effective use of color. And 14 disk sides and that feature list... Wow, surely was a lot of work.

i remember having tryed the intro of newcomer;
having never owned a C64, i'm a bit at loss on its use and of emulators too, but if games with this same graphic gameplay and sound would come for windows, i would consider them more than recent games. |

Unfortunately, it only seems to be available in PAL. |

Even though the game is called New*comer*, this is no breaking new*s*
This RPG is around since about 2002. But as we are on an Amiga forum, I think it is allowed to be some time behind |

Yeah, Newcomer is very good (and so is Elvira Mistress of the Dark - amazing how they crammed that into the C64).

Ultimate Newcomer is coming soon. Interesting improvements for emulator users too. It's DonationWare like Enhanced Newcomer.
