WinUAE 0.8.26 bugs
This thread is only for bugs introduced in 0.8.26.
Following bugs are confirmed and fixed: - crash when loading directory or no config file is selected - Game & I/O Ports-page uninitialized joystick/mouse port radio buttons - config file scanner tries to parse all files in Configurations, even files that are not config files (file extension was ignored) - GUI in non-96DPI modes (wrong font in parent-dialog, argh..) - "Priority=2!"-dialog. Workaround: lower priority settings from highest to above normal. - AB3DII-JIT problem (and some other probably too). Workaround: disable JIT temporarily. - loading new config on the fly or loading statefile with JIT enabled crashes. Workaround: disable JIT temporarily. Reported but I can't reproduce: - freeze after selecting disk image. This may be related to drive sound crash. Does it stop freezing/crashing if drive sounds are disabled? When trying to use a windowed display larger than the current desktop resolution, the error message ("The selected screen mode can't be displayed in a window...") loops indefinitely. One has to kill the WinUAE process with CTRL-ALT-DEL.

EDIT: Fixed. (and btw, it did happen in 0.8.24 and 0.8.23, maybe even older versions too) Last edited by Toni Wilen; 20 May 2004 at 16:41. |

Another bug: Installer edition installs 0.8.25 readme rather than .26.

i discovered two things :
- when i make a new config WinUAE doesn't add a file extension when saving - when i load a config, boot it, go back to GUI and load the exact same config again and try to boot it, it crashes WinUAE (first creating a minidump and then a windows error saying the program has to be shut down). If i load a config diffrent from the one already booted it works fine |

Little gui bug
when i have to deal with several adf files related to the same game usually they're named "L:\somedir\game (disk x of y)" so is very useful to copy the name and the path and paste it right in the next disk drive filename stringbox replacing the number of the disk without opening again the file requester.
Well, doing so, will make winuae ignores any changes to the filename, last gui worked. Anyway would be great have winuae add automagically sequential adf in the next drives prompting something like "would you like to add next disks ?" (based on the same filename but the disk number). Thanks ! Last edited by kokoko3k; 25 May 2004 at 18:50. Reason: adding something |

ADF selection via history bug
I've noticed if you select another ADF from the ADF history view and then hit the Reset button (the actual GUI button) the ADF is not changed.
You have to do this, go back into emulation by exiting F12 dialog, and then go back and hit reset or just use the 3-key reset combo. |

I don't know if this is a bug, but here it goes:
workbench hardfile at 512mb, work: hardfile at 2048mb. And some directories for Windows' drives etc. Or wait.. I just post my config. hm. http://www.tehjunkyard.net/winuae/ there's the config etc. Here's what happens: I install WorkBench 3.1, reboot, fresh clean install. I install Picasso96, reboot. I go into prefs, screenmode and select any picasso screenmode and it gives me this: http://www.tehjunkyard.net/winuae/crash.PNG . Why's that? It doesn't matter if I have the rtg.library copied over to the emulated Amiga or not, but I don't know if it's related. Probably isn't.. hmm. edit: WinUAE822r9 causes this too. Maybe it's picasso96's fault. Hm, the version i'm using is: Short: Picasso96 system for Amiga graphics boards Author: Tobias Abt and Alexander Kneer Uploader: Tobias Abt <tabt at gmx.de> Type: gfx/board Version: 2.0 Last edited by Fackamato; 03 June 2004 at 00:26. |
