You'll find the complete set of LightWave 5.0 content on the Video Toaster 4000 ISO on the FTP.

On a related note, you wouldn't happen to have a copy of the Bladerunner scene and objects? The Spinner object on the VT ISO appears to be corrupted.

I've also been looking for a final version of LW5.0 I can run on WinUAE - the 5.1 and 5.2 versions floating around are fakes (actually pre-releases/betas of 5.0) and none of the versions I've seen include Enhanced Anti-aliasing which is kind of a big deal (they won't run the 5.0 ARexx scripts/plugins either).

try ~Uploads/emu/Lightwave/Lightwave.3D_v5.0r on eab ftp.
it does have enhanced AA low/med/high.

and if you missed my Lightwave Plugins related thread, then have a look aswell.

the scenes are on the videotoaster iso image on eab ftp, as Aegis said above. look in folder scenes/space/ blade.lws and offworld.lws.
another source for them are older lightwave version for the wintel PCs, maybe version 6,7 and/or 8. those had a folder called
"classic content" with such legacy lightwave scenes.

Edit: i found the bad object file in blade.lws and offworld.lws - skinnerbody.lwo
maybe someone remembers the Space Extra Addon? well, there is a valid skinnerbody.lwo on that diskset.
I've just tested both scenes and it does loading the replacement object.
After unpacking Space Extra, you find the object in this path: objects/space/offworld/skinnerb.lwo
just replace the bad one from lightwave install with this new one

Great work on finding that skinnerbody.lwo emufan! (and a proper release of LW5!) - I'll take a look at them a little later - do you know if the Rexx scripts work with this version?

Those scenes are part of Amiga history (some of the space stuff was done by Ron Thornton himself) and deserve to be preserved - sadly NewTek doesn't distribute them with LightWave 3D any more.

np. glad you like it.

i'm not sure which arexx scripts you are referring to, but since the lw 5.0r is the un-dongled version of the latest VT iso, all those on the videotoaster cd will work.
same goes for the [macros] listed in the Lightwave Plugins thread. IIRC they all were working with lw 5.0r - a fix for Macroform 1.0 is in the collection, the only one which was not working directly with lw 5.0r.

and yes, for sure still alot more to discover to preserve newtek's and others effort, involved in the amiga side of the CG history.

ps: here is the famous blade.lws scene.

actually it is a gif animation. not sure, your browser is able to show it.

but i uploaded two mp4 anims into the zone, to share the fun.
Lightwave-Blade.mp4 and Lightwave-Offworld.mp4

good to have some more people interested in this kind of amiga stuff

ps: i was using ffmpeg creating the mp4 from single tga images.
some usefull instructions you can find here.
creating a gif animation using ffmpeg, as seen above, read here.

Yes, I'd really like to see a standalone ISO of LW5 Amiga in the Zone
