PAL/NTSC question
Why is it that some systems (C64 and Atari ST I think) have the same screen resolution and clock speed between PAL and NTSC models, yet others don't.
I think the Amiga has the same clock speed but the screen rez are different to cater for the different display systems. Sega hardware has the same thing, apparently some Saturn games look squashed and run 20% slower on PAL systems. It always annoyed me that Amiga games didn't fill the screen, because they were either ST ports or American games. |
