Saveing data to "hard disk"

I'm using winUAE and it seems that pinball fantasies CD32 doesn't save the highscores. Can WHDload games save data to the emulated hard disk?

The WHDLoad version is supposed to save to HD. Assuming you're using one of the later installs.

Saves go to CD32's build-in NVRAM (file name in roms-tab) if you run in real CD32-mode. Real CD32 does not have any harddisks

You need some libraries and assigns (lowlevel.library?, I don't remember any details now) if you run in "fake-CD32" mode (boot to WB and run compatible CD32 game) and want working saves.

Whats real CD32 mode?

How do you do the assigns you mentioned?

I'm using the WHDload version from tomtom's site. I load up workbench and click on it to load.

Update the installer and it will save. Check www.whdload.de.

I get an error message when I try and install WHDload.
"Error wile interpreting script.

In use"

When you say update the installer you mean the WHD program right? I'm using 1.5, I didn't install it, it came with the Amiga In A Box install.

Dont try to update WHDLoad, better copy new one to SYS:C/ directory and try to update game (maybe first install has missing files).
As for the NV-RAM in amiga with hard disk:

Create directory NV in SYS:Prefs
Open text editor and type "SYS:Prefs/NV"
Save it in Sys:Prefs/ENV-Archive/sys as "NV_location"

You must have lowlevel and nonvolatile library (both) in Libs: directory.

This is for DOS install.

It must be the install becuase slam tilt and pinabll dreams save the highscores. I changed to pinball fantasies AGA version but I prefered the cd32 version. Is the one on the whdload site for CD or AGA?
