A1000 Tick Circuit

Hi,

I have an Amiga 1000 without a power supply, I was hoping to use a small ITX 200W PC power supply. But I have found that the A1000 needs a 50/60 hz sync signal from the power supply.

Since PC power supplies do supply Tick signals, can I input a 50/60hz signal from a oscillator. From Jean Steadman's web site, this signal is -5v.

I have emailed Ian to buy the adapter for big box ATX power supplies.

Another option is to take tick from the video connector like is done in the wedge Amigas A500/600/1200..

Check the B2000 schematics. It has a tick jumper you can use to select the PSU tick or video tick. You should be able to do a similar circuit as is outlined there.
