Mitsumi/sh*t** CD drive

I`ve gone and lost my Mitsumi CD drive for the tandem CD-ROM and IDE controller card I`ve got in me A4000, now it was only a 1 speed and I was going replace it with an ide drive but that has now been taken over by my ide/sd card

so any 1 got a spare they don`t want plz

Teach me to take it out and forget where I left it

after a Mitsumi drive its like ide but not if you get what I mean, think old dos sound cards with their own cd drive

got plenty of cd/dvd drives here as that was what I was going to do, but I`ve run out of ide ports on it

edit:

from manual:

The CD-ROM connector is capable to operate with the following drives from Mitsumi:
• LU-005S single speed CD-ROM drive
• FX-001S single speed CD- ROM drive
• FX-001D double speed CD-ROM drive

Those drives use Mitsumi's proprietary CD-ROM interface. I had two of the FX-001D double speed drives, but sold them when I discovered that CDDA was disabled, both in these drives and in their later ATAPI drives.

I think I still have a CD-ROM drive which uses a proprietary interface, but it's a Reveal (which does support CDDA) - not a Mitsumi.

@cosmi

the A4000 has a buffered interface, you can have upto 4 devices using a small adpater - wich is nothing more than a couple of diodes. (these diodes could be put on the ide cable itself saving need for the adapter)

I will drag up a schematics
