Aca 1221 or aca 1233n? Complete newby
I am completely new to the amiga modding, I've got a 8gb cf card with whdloaded and luckily it was already set up as I wouldn't have had a clue where to begin.
I'm now wanting to get an accelarator but I can't decide between the aca 1221 or the aca 1233n,, what would be the closest to plug and play, like what would be the easiest to buy that would take the least effort to get maximum power to be able to play whd load games |

ACA1221ec would be my recommendation. For WHDLoad, the 1233 adds hardly anything useful unless you intend on playing 3D games like AB3D. All the classic games will be fine with the 020 and 9MB fast mem.

Both of them have a small amount of setting up involved, but they'll both work with pretty much everything right off the bat. As demolition says, the majority of games won't see much (or any) speed increase between them because they're synced to the framerate so there's very little point, but if you're really into 3D games (e.g. Birds of Prey, Frontier etc.), then it might be worth shelling out the extra cash for the 1233.
I would say go for the 1221ec anyway, and if you find it's lacking in any way, you'll still be able to sell it on for a decent price and upgrade it - accelerators tend to hold their value very well. |

There is nothing much to setup I think unless you want to try overclocking it, which won't really change anything in regards to WHDLoad. Maprom is controlled with a jumper and enabled by default, so just install it in the trapdoor and you should be good to go.
