@akira: yea I doubt he will aswell, but one could say that now might be he's chance to make the real third part of the story, wishfull thinking I know m8 and I agree with u, since we have seen the monkeys without him before and it wasn't really the fun it used to be, was it ?!

Anyways it's better it goes to telltales then having lucasarts screw it up once again

I'm sure they'll at least be good, if not great. My only issue are the keyboard controls... the graphics could be better, but I can live with that.
I might use a joystick for controls, since I have some issues meaning it's a chore using a keyboard or gamepad. I'll find some way to play the games, anyway

Here are the Monkey Island games I already own, btw -

The two MI FM Towns ones are in the picture

The other ones are in a closet, only wanted to include the MI stuff.

It's great to see a remake, but one thing about this kind of makes me sad.

You'll see many people saying they remember the original looking so much better, and newer gamers insulting the simple graphics of the original.

The thing that they seem to forget was we were playing this on scanline TV's or small 14" monitors. The original is going to look horrible on a 32"+ TV set or massive widescreen monitor most people use these days.

Oh well, I'll still look forward to it. Although I hope you can turn the voices off. No offence to the voiceover guy, but I just prefer reading the text on these classics!

And i prefer reading the text while i'm listening to the voices. Of course you need good voice actors. Sam & Max is brilliant with speech.

Yes, Sam & Max is awesome with speech. I just never liked the Guybrush voice very much.

True.

I just associate Monkey Island with reading text and have the voices all worked out in my head myself! Hard to let that go for an old game.

Actually Laffer I do prefer the original artwork in that shot - much warmer feel to it. But perhaps that's just my old school tastes shining through!

Aye! Now that looks really good They could still redo the backgrounds (a bit that is), but putting this cheap comic look on the main characters...

I'm agree... original artwork looks like a gold old movie whereas the new one looks like a bad Walt Disney.

Nice. You probably paid a fortune for all these FM-Towns games.
