Paula sound on my A4000 is dead?
Well, I tested some whdload games on my 3 month unused A4000 (ressurected because of new csppc!) but sadly the sound is VERY low, and with parasites... I must connect the speakers and turn them all the way up to hear it...
So now what? the caps are dead? what do I do to fix it? damn that bad luck!!! |

paula dying on a4000's is a rather common problem I hear. Check amiga technical resource for solutions.

On the plus side, it's a fairly easy repair to do yourself, mine was dead on one channel, but is now fine.
Though, without the aid of a scope to find the broken trace that appeared after I replaced the caps and cleaned up the board, things might have been a bit more problematic. |
