Arexx question

Hello all.
I'm using a DVD remote on my Amiga, via SubWay USB and poseidan, and I'm trying to configure the HAT buttons to work an external interface for various apps. (forward/back buttons in Ibrowse, next/prev message in YAM, etc). But to do this, I need to figure out which window is active so I can address the right port. Is there a Workbench command that I could use to find the name of the active window? (Or some commodity/cli app?) The window.active thing only works for drawer/device windows. Thanks for any help.

I think there are some ARexx libraries that do the job. E.g. rx3h.library from Aminet: http://aminet.net/package/util/rexx/rx3h

Or rexxtricks.library.
