Space Quest 4

Hello.

In Space Quest 4 in addition to the space shown in the picture below:

https://i.emezeta.com/weblog/protecc...ce-quest-4.png

Is there any other form of copy protection where do you need to re-use the game's instructions ?

Someone played the Amiga version of this game ?

Regards,

UrBi

Nope - that's it from memory. And don't play the Amiga version if you have access to the PC one... it's one of Sierra's worst Amiga ports - and that's saying something when their regular ports were pretty crappy.

Well, it certainly doesn't look as good as it could have...

Yeah - it’s an abuse to the eyeballs. Sierra spent ZERO time adapting the palette and artwork to accommodate Amiga’s 32/64 colours. They did do some ports right (see King’s Quest VI, Conquests of the Longbow), but this ain’t one of em.

Maybe this is one of those games that needs a VGA to AGA remake!

Absolutely! But I don't think anyone will do so, given that ScummVM exists. Although I'd personally like to see a "native" version of SQ4 and other games that didn't get a decent Amiga conversion - preferably to AGA.

However Sierra has made this game for DOS in a rare EGA version too that however has better color then Amiga version:

Looking better it seems however that Amiga version has more color then this EGA version, but bad apply.

even if i think Amiga version is not bad compared to VGA. In some points detail is very ugly, but in other not bad.
