Maybe he's NOT having them duplicated - MAYBE these are the original unreleased disks from all those years ago....!

Its all irrelevant, System 3 is not releasing this game on floppy for Amiga owners, I have little to no hope it will be released as a digital download ( the most sensible and cost effective way of releasing it ) for Amiga owners, the time to release it was 1994 when Amiga was still relevant. If it was available for download, either myself or Stingray would be knocked up to crack it for release, its 'sales' would be pathetic. |

What's the point to System 3 even leaking this news if they aren't going to follow through with it?
At best it gets them a few extra sales of the new Putty because of media exposure to nostalgic Amiga gamers. At worst people wait for the collectors edition, which never materialises so they don't bother buying anything at all. And even if they did release it, it would be cracked and copied so much that hardly anyone would bother buying the collectors edition anyway. The whole strategy seems ill thought out. The only thing that would make sense to me is to release the game free as a set of downloadable ADFs now. This would generate some good will and wet the appetites of fans of the original and would likely garner them some extra sales of the new version. |

“I can’t wait to see people playing this at retro shows across the country” System 3’s Mark Cale enthusiastically declares during Retro Gamer’s interview.
That would imply something different to the 8 level demo disk we can do that with already no? Doesn't mean he's telling the truth though |

Confirmed that it's not going ahead now, I doubt they even have the disks tbh.
[ Show youtube player ] Has anyone tried contacting Steve McGill, former Amiga Format writer to reviewed the full game? He may be able to confirm if he did indeed review the finished game or if it was just the demo to make press deadlines, he may have even kept his old Amiga collection and have it still, worth a shot if someone can track him down today. http://amr.abime.net/review_2738 |
