PS2/USB mouse adaptor for the classic Amiga?

Looking for a mouse adapter so i can opt not to use my original Amiga mouse as it needs constant love to keep working as i remember, and it's about 4 years since it was used last time... Simply put, i need a new one.
I need a mouse, that i can do DOS games with. Preferably something that will be easy to obtain a new mouse for over the next few years, either buy one of those green PS2 to USB adapters you got with mice and keyboards for years now, or simply a adapter that takes a USB mouse to start with.
Amiga kit has the Micromys V3 PS/2 Mouse Adapter, would that be the right one with my needs? Or is there something else that is a better option?

Micromys is great! I'm using a Microsoft mouse with a USB to PS/2 adapter, works good.

Micromys or Cocolino are both ideal for using PC mice on a classic Amiga.

Which is better... Micromys, or Cocolino? As far as i know the Micromys is a newer design, thats why i went with it in my post. If it matters, i intend to use it with the Automatic Mouse / Joystick Switch. I just want it to work, no fuzz allowed. ;- )

A guess is that they are pretty much equal, but i have to ask, i'll feel stupid if i don't, and end up getting the one that people later will tell me, "duh, we cold have told you that..." The Amiga will mainly be used for retro gaming, so it sorta has to work with everything, straight out of the box.

I saw that one, but decided against it, simply due to the packaging. I guess i might have some luck putting it in some sort of packaging my self, but for now i am looking mainly at s retail product, even tho it means i have to pay a bit more for it. Also, since i'm getting a few other things as well, most likely from amigakit, shipping, even if cheap, makes up for a bit of the price difference.
It's a good tip tho, they are cheap, thanks Johnim.

Well, nobody is screaming bloody murder, and i guess thats a good thing. I'll be putting down an order for "my" Micromys and automatic mouse / joystick switcher with Amigakit later today. (just got to transfer funds to the account)

Just placed the order, lets hope i actually end up using the stuff as much as i hope.
Micromys V3, automatic mouse / joystick switch, and a RGB scart cable of the longer kind. Just so you know which order it is you should take extra care with... You know, trowing the stuff in without packaging, jumping on the box, stuff like that.

Stuff arrived yesterday.So far i haven't really been able to test anything, seams i cant get the Amiga to display properly on the telly. Going to start out with testing everything aside from the Amiga, as i got everything new here. New telly, new scart switch, and so on.

I'm not going to swear on this, but as far as i know you need a active dongle for USB->PS/2 conversion, unless the mouse is preprogrammed to detect, and adapt to a PS/2 environment. For a generic, "use any USB mouse" device you need a chip to take the USB signal, decode it, and the reencode it as if sent by a PS/2 mouse.

I won't be converting it from USB > PS2, idea being to have multiple inputs to feed the serial port. the idea is to have a breakout board with PS2, Serial, USB, and one secret addon (if i can get permission)
