BPPC 040/25MHz+PPC for CD32 SX32PRO
Hi All
I'm thinking of swapping my BPPC 040/25/240 with 96mb ram what I'm after and it will probably be hard to get. A CD32 SX32 PRO. I could also add other hardware to this like a GREX with a Voodoo3k |

Hello there,
Welcome to the EAB, theres plenty of retr0licious mischief to get upto around here, so kick back and enjoy the retr0-coated yumminess that this fair board provides... and you might also get some luck posting this on www.amibay.com |

You need to be a little more specific in future posts... say exactly what it is you want... what you are trading etc.
You didnt even say which GREX you were after (although I assume it was a GREX1200) I would imagine that you MIGHT be able to trade a BPPC for an SX32-Pro. Certainly if you sent it away to be upgraded to an 060 it would be a great deal. Why an SX32-Pro?? The SX32 and SX32-MKII are very affordable and give you everything you need for a great WHDLoad capable CD32. |

Also bear in mind an 030 with it's datacache will break Akiko C2P routines - but this isn't much of a problem as nothing really uses them except maybe Wing Commander.
No way I'd swap my Pro for a Blizzard though. |

Oh sorry guys I was meaning I would throw in a GREX + plus a Voodoo3k
the GREX is for the 1200. about up grading the 040 to an 060 if I had the money I would of done that but at this point in time I can not afford to do this. |

You'll just get raped over price if you don't.
You should be able to get it done for under €100. With an E41J 060 @80MHz and a 603@240MHz would make the card the best possible BPPC. Unfortunately you've missed the best time to sell this card, which was Pre-OS4 |

Because most people have come to the conclusion that AOS4 is (unfortunately) shite for classics and re-installed OS3.9 and WarpOS (or PowerUp). WHDload cannot be run under OS4 which (to me) is the whole reason for having a classic Amiga.
A guy called PG over at Amiga.org will do them. His preference is for Apollo 1240->1260 upgrades but he has done BPPC before from what I remember. |

Hi alexh
At the mo I can not even afford €100 I have to much to pay, also your saying that having a PPC at 240hmz is shit? much worse than having an 040 then? so getting this card to play a few good games like freespace and a few good programs, also using it with a med 1200 and GREX 1200 with MOS is shit then? so its not even worth an 030 for the CD32? |

I must admit, that until they get FinalWriter working properly on OS4 I won't bother. Lack of BPPC SCSI isn't exactly a 'must-have' feature, either. What, in general did people not like about OS4? |
