Vampire 2 - SAGA activity led?

Is there any option, mod or hack to connect a LED for monitoring SAGA disk activity on a Vampire 2? I see there's a port which looks like a GPIO, maybe it's suitable?

It's frustrating not to know when the Micro SD is accessed, there must be a way.
So far I've found only a software solution with quite sucks because it makes the power LED blink during disk transfers but on ECS power led is never turned off, only dimmed so it's quite difficult to tell any difference.

I have seen IDE-CF adapters with the IDE Activity LED header, at least Kipper made those. Vampire1200 is finally designed to have IDE Activity LED pin header which also could show Micro SD activity. Basically, it would be possible to indicate IDE/Micro SD activity on Vamp's RED led or via expansion header pins.
