CD32 FMV schematics now available
Hi,
They were presumes lost forever but I found the CD32 FMV schematics. They were in the back of the folder that has my CD32 schematics. Only had the folder for 7 years. Scanned and put online here. www.ianstedman.co.uk/Downloads/CD32_FMV schematics.zip Not the best quality but the originals I have are poor quality. Before anyone has the bright idea of re-manufacturing this, let me kill that idea. You will be extremely lucky to find the MPEG decoder chip, the MCA connectors are potentially only available in a large order and there is a Lattice PLD device, of which we have no details. Enjoy. I reckon that Mr. Stedy bloke has all the MPEG decoder chips and MCA connectors at his house. Maybe we can coax him outside with some marshmallows

It's not down BTW, the link is wrong as it includes eab.abime.net at the start and the D in Downloads needs to be d.

I've managed to get 40 of the CL450 MPEG decoder chips for FMV module.
Looking at the Schematics I see an "Erin" chip which I'm guessing is the Lattice CPLD. Right now I'm working on several other things. But I'm wondering if anyone is interested in an open project to reproduce this card? |

Oh wow!
I wasn't expecting such enthusiasm! I've been trying to figure it out. Does anyone know if the code for the CPLD is available? My guess is that it'll need to be re engineered. But maybe we'll get lucky and someone can read it... |
