Attention Scottish Amiga Users!

I've just set up a small group on Facebook for Amiga users in Scotland with the aim of helping to coordinate meetups in Scotland for a bit of gaming fun, maybe a few pints too

Also for general Amiga-related chat. There seem to be a good few Scottish Amiga fans appearing out of the woodwork, so it would be great to see you all there and maybe sort out a meetup at some point in the future.

I don't do facebook, for work related reasons at the moment,but if there's a meetup arranged and some kind soul gives me a nudge on here, I'll be there! Beer+Amigas = heaven!

Okay, it's taken a while, but I'm looking at getting a few people together in Glasgow early in 2018. So far the most likely plan is the afternoon of Saturday 3rd February, in a community centre in Pollokshields on the south side of Glasgow. We can have a few games and a bit of Amiga chat, and then maybe food and a few drinks nearby afterwards. We already have a couple of projectors lined up for some big-screen SWOS action

More details are in the Scottish Amiga Users page on Facebook, but I'll be sure to post the details here too as I have them for anyone not on Facebook.

Meeting confirmed for Saturday, 3rd February 2018! The venue is:

St. Ninian's Church Hall
1 Albert Drive
Pollokshields
Glasgow G41 2PF

From 12 noon until 6pm. It's a good sized hall, so plenty of space for people to set up and show off their machines. There's free on-street parking nearby, and it's very close to Pollokshields East train station, which is only 5 or 6 minutes from Glasgow Central. It's also on Pollokshaws Road (the A77), which carries many major bus routes.

There's a cafe next door and some more eateries nearby for lunch, and basic tea and coffee facilities will be available in the hall itself. There are some decent pubs a short distance away for food and a few drinks afterwards too.

There's also a projector screen and we have a couple of projectors, so there'll be some gaming on the big screen - who knows, maybe even a presentation. Open to suggestions!

Extensions leads, the longer the better!

The hall has a few sockets, but not nearly enough and they're quite far apart. Other than that, as many Amigas as you can fit in your car
