I have an a1200 and the only mod on it right now is an ide->cf adapter. I also have the original 800mb ide drive. mobo 1d4, floppy works, has mouse and a1200psu, also has pcmcia ethernet. I would be willing to trade and you can keep your cdrom and hd from the a4000. I'd also throw in $100usd
The bad: my a1200 is VERY yellow, some of the rfshield has been bent by the floppy drive to allow some cabling to pass under (can't even see it with the floppy drive in there) and the case is yellow as all hell... but it has 3.1 roms and the caps look good. Also, right alt key doesn't work. The REALLY good news: I'm in Colorado. Shipping for both of us will be very easy. Let me know and I can send pics and take my listing down from amibay |

What did you use for the colouring of the case?

Is the 4000 a NTSC or PAL unit?

wow i'd be tempted if 4000 upgrades weren't so expensive and rare!
Think i've spent about £400 on my 1200 with blizzard 1260 @50mhz, 32mb ram, FastATA MkIV, CF IDE hard drive and internal slot loading dvd drive. looks completely stock at a glance. not sure i could part with that spec for a stock 4000... it'd cost me an arm and a leg getting it to the same level. ouch! still tempting though! lol but i may just get greedy and buy a 4000 to add to my collection some point in the future. Good luck! |

Still haven't found a taker? I am tempted to negotiate a deal with my 1200 and Apollo 1260, but the machine would have to be in VGC.
