Cool Guess tune from what card/machine

Recently recorded the title tracks from Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies on both my PC and Amiga (A3000)

Let's see if you can spot the tracks that are from the Amiga.
You get "pluspoints" if you can hear from what type of PC soundcard the non Amiga tracks come from

The PC soundcards I used were these three:

Gravis Ultrasound PnP
Sound Blaster Pro 2
Sound Blaster 16

Pinball Dreams:

I'm guessing the following for Pinball Fantasies:
1 - Amiga
2 - Gus
3 - SB16
4 - SB2

I downloaded them and listened to the Dreams tunes. I could make out differences but I am not audiophile enough to hazard much more than a random guess. I think the last one is the SBPro as it sounds a bit worse than the others, but that's about it.

Couldn't make out any differences?

What speakers/headphones do you have?

Hang on a minute! 3/4 are in the correct positions, where's the 4th one supposed to go if that's not in the right place.

Me thinks this is a trick question Either that or I'm still drunk from the weekend

The 3rd one is definitely Amiga, the 4th one is the worse SB (never had one so no idea, and I don't care enough to check ), the 2nd one is the better SB... or GUS. But I supect GUS is the 1st one.

You're right about the Amiga tune and you're on to something about track 2

Right on the money!

Only Amiga and the GUS card can play the tune in hardware
I've recorded from the later, updated PC version of Pinball Dreams..the first one with Roland LA support sounded awful when you used a Sond Blaster

Exactly. One thing that is very noticeable, besides the quality, is the timing of the tune. Which is perfect on Amiga, of course, better on GUS and awful on the Soundblasters.

mmm..the Sound Blaster card's aren't known for quality sound either.
Haven't tested my Terratec 16/96 Gold yet which I think can produce better sound than the Sound Blaster cards even though it just can handle Sb Pro compatability
The GRavis Ultrasound Classic sound completely different than the Gus PnP...can include a sample from that card if there's interest

Gravis Ultrasound Classic, uses hard or soft mixing?

I could be interesting, if not much trouble to have a sample of that.
