AMIGA POWER Tips Video - YouTube

Hi,

Just in case anyone's interested, I'm uploading my old Amiga Power tips video to YouTube. It's the one that was advertised in the mag for several months before being mysteriously "deleted".

Gaze upon illustrated walkthroughs/reviews of a sizey selection (well, 10) of the Amiga's finest gaming greats.

The video was released in 1993 (although it looks very 80s) by Wonderland Entertainment and had little or nothing to do with Amiga Power itself.

Still, for the sake of completeness, eh?

First one's here:

Thanks for that Mark, although it is vaguely connected to AP I guess as Matthew Squires was on the AP staff at the time.

Incidentally, am I right I thinking that he was tragically killed in a plane crash a few years back? I'm sure I read that on the World of Stuart forums... that's very sad.

Very sad indeed, if true. I had no idea.

I didn't come to AP until issue 26, so wasn't that familiar with the Matt Bielby "Golden Age" of the mag, from when this video was made. And since J Nash and Rev Stu rarely refer to anything from that era, I assumed Matthew Squires was a generic voiceover person, reading someone else's words... there's a lot of it about.

Anyway, enjoy the clips!

Indeed it is true, sadly:

(scroll down a bit)

That does explain why you weren't familiar with him though, of course he had left the mag by then by issue 26.

Cheers for uploading these clips, I've never seen the video before.

Nice one! I used to have this video but shamelessly threw it in the bin! God I must've had PMT back then or something

edit: Oh gawd at the news on Matthew Squires
