Looks like it's derived from the GBA 1000's "Grakka/PII++"
Probably a very nice and compatible card.
I wonder why it has just 2MB?

from a retro collectors view, I can understand such prices.
here we get a card with 25 year old technolgy - irgnoring all the possibilites we have today. respect for the work of Matze.
but this card is not worth the coins - we now have alternatives - sooner or later also for z2 or z3 slot machines.

I really would like to see those alternatives? I can't remember any NEW RTG card in the last 20 years.....
I never had the chance to buy a "cheap" - half the price of this is actually not cheap - card, some are lucky most of us are not.

Please keep in mind a new card has to fulfill a lot of rules regarding EMV emission and what not. Also you have warranty and VAT has to be paid too.

It is expensive, but hey, golf shoes aren't that cheap either.

I played around with this card (or similar, but for sure it was the same construction/GPU) few months ago. Very nice device. Perceptible faster than original Picasso 2 and cooperates with Indivision ECS nicely.

For collectible reasons, i'd prefer to buy Picasso 2 in this price, but if someone wants an RTG card out of hand, there is no other option, i think.

We need to wait 1-2 years for really mature product. As for now, it's a hobby project - nothing more.

It is a fair price for a commercial product with all official test & regulations.
It was done for the community, together with the community next to many other hardware, but this is the first product which you do not have to solder by yourself.
If you do not like it, make it better, but just trolling about the price is too easy.

Sort of... Like I said, I'm 99.99% sure this is a simply a GBAPII++ card. It might be more accurate to say this is the first commercial zorro graphics card in 10-15 years since the GBAPII++ is a build-it-yourself card.

Why not?

The Vampire2 costs about the same and is a CPU card, RTG and SDCard all-in-one.
When they do a big-box Amiga version, Zorro cards will become obsolete, you'll have everything integrated into the FPGA at a much higher speed than Zorro ever could, and way cheaper.

Personally, I cant wait!
