From watching the trailer, it seemed to me Apocalypse was likely to be slow and bland. I chose to watch First Class instead. Not bad but not great either. Nice storytelling though.

One thing with x-men, you have to watch them in chronological order, to understand why now characters who met in later movies, actually knew each other in 70s or for Apocalypse - 80s.
I had no idea Deadpool should be connected to other x-men characters. Will have to see that movie yet...

Intruder ~ Night Crew (1989) is a fine and taunting little slasher. Look for the unrated edition preferably. Not Sam Raimi grade stuff by any means, but a pretty entertaining film nonetheless.

I watched K-Shop lastnight

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3221544/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

It was a surprisingly watchable BRIT movie (Others may not "get" it)

Checkout the first "User Review" on the IMDB page, it's about on the button.

Enjoy!

Anybody going to see Suicide Squad? Such a wonderfully conflicted movie. Either people love it to death, or they hate it to bits. I'm just going to go see it and find out to which camp I belong. Probably the former, I don't have enough interest in the DC universe to be properly disappointed by it.

Not sure I like to see another movie with Will Smith... even I like Margot Robbie - a lot!

That is the plan... you see it and let us know how terrible it is...

You'll be waiting a bit as all the (good) cinemas near me want to show it only in 3D at the time of day I want to see it. Screw that. They pulled the same shit on me with Star Trek which is -only- in 3D. Screw that even more.

Its the same deal as always - movie which should have been R-rated is forced to be PG-13. Doesn't make good movies, but does sell more tickets.

Well, took kids to see Secret Life of Pets and after the show there was bunch of girls in Harley Quinn costume. Some of them nailed the look completely...

Me like what I saw...

Secret Life of Pets was nice kids movie, with lots of fun...

So this was nice 'movie' weekend.

First was saw new Jason Bourne movie and to confirm - there are few retro computers in hackers den scene. Movie had everything - action, touching story, really well portrayed bad guys, but something was missing - something I'm used to from old JB movies. Link to Snowden and privacy with data mining does add to this movie to be more on realistic side... as well framing assasination on usual suspects... I still would recommend it.. 7/10

I've finally seen last part of Hunger Games. Firstly, it was not recommended by friend, who found it boring with politics etc. (not sure what he was expecting, as that was main storyline from the beginning). In my opinion, movie has grown from first 'running man'-like story with teens to gray portrait of war and fact that there are never winners in any wars - everyone looses.
Part I found surprising is that they allowed for scene with kids being bombed to be in movie. Ending, even bit predictable, still gives you satisfaction and closure to long story. 8/10.

I already mentioned we saw 'Secret Life of Pets' - 7/10.

Oh my... had no idea what candy movie this will be...

Still laughing with all wired, yet wonderful humor...

I still think something is wrong with Morena Baccarin's neck... too long - she must be ALIEN! (from V )

Isn't that the one with Nick Nolte ?

A more modern day take on the Film Noire of old ?

no you're thinking of Mulholland Falls, an entirely different film!

Mulholland Drive is about two women, it's a David Lynch film, and it's very weird.

Not feeling well lately, meant I saw few more movies, including Maze Runner 2 (The Scorch Trials). I really did not expect World War Z turn with this one, especially made this badly... with zombies showing only once generator is on and you can see them... and before generator not single one was around... 5.5/10

Also saw Pete's Dragon with kids, CGI well done, predictable story, bunch of good actors including ol' Robert Redford and somewhat negative Karl Urban. Well done CGI and funny looking dragon... 6.5/10.

Get well good sir!

Speaking about Nick Nolte, I watched Q&A (1990) lately (questions and answers). A few minor problems (pace, editing especially 2nd part), yet a very watchable raw, forceful whodunit.

That's almost a synonym, the only (original) Lynch movie I could actually get was Wild At Heart. Very much recommended by the way.

Mulholland Drive... I don't like the movies that are not supposed to make logical sense, it just becomes a slideshow of events then where fans get to pretend they secretly get it. Apparently this movie is one gigantic seek & find puzzle to be able to get the clue about what is real and what is not and what happens in which order, requiring several viewings. Well screw that, I just let IMDB tell me what's up.

Lost Highway is even worse - that one purposely has a nonsensical timeline. There is no reason to try and explain it, there is nothing to explain. Up yours, Lynch

Blood Simple. (1984) by the Coen bros bears that lynchian touch I would say. It's a great movie too.
