How to decompress xpk packed files

First of all i must admit that i could be wrong about this question

Indeed i'm assuming that the files which contains the ID "xpkXXXX" are some kind of packed files ..... is that correct ?

If so the question is simple: how can i decompress these packed files ?

Searched a little on aminet but nothing that actually works

I used the "XUp" command and i got the message "Data not compressed"

Some confusion now, since file has clearly the ID "xpkNUKE" inside

I zoned the file, it's called "NONBUTTARE"

Can someone confirm if it's compressed or not ?

Thanks anyone for help

Do you have the decompression slaves installed (libs:compressors)?
Did you read the documentation of the xpk_user archive?

Your file isn't XPK packed.
Real XPK packed files have "XPKF" followed by method name in their header.

It seems you have extracted part of some executable file, that maybe uses XPK internally.

Is it by any chance a mod? I'm not sure how it works, but I can imagine that the individual samples used in a mod may be xpk packed, while the mod isn't.
