Thanks Joe, I hope he replies too.

As for Halloween Nightmare, I hope to have a game available to download and play by the end of this month. It will be like a prequel to a much larger game we're still developing, and it won't be very long, maybe about five or so levels. Hopefully I'll have some screenshots by the end of the week, and maybe a website with info too.

I want to set up a couple of Amigas for kids to play this Halloween, so I was hoping Super Pumpkin Bros would be finished by then. At least I hope they've made some progress, because that first demo was promising.

@Cammy

as i told on IRC yesterday the first mail adress was not active anymore...

the second adress was a full success...this is his reply to my question if he is still alive:

Quote:
Sure I am. If you refer to the preview game "Super Pumpkin Bros" I can answer
that the game is not cancelled but the time allowed to its dev. is narrow; I am
mainly coder on Commodore 64 and there've been still some projects I'm working
on. As I make it on my spare time the work looks slow...slow...slow.

Friendly regards,
Nori

second reply today:

Super Pumpkin is my first project game on Amiga. May be I'll try the Amiga 500
in a few years ?

When I'll able to finnish my 2 projects on C64 and will be ok with PHP/MySQL,
xHTML/CCS I will work back more seriously on SPB.

Friendly Regards,
Nori
sounds like we have to wait for the complete game some more years..

I checked out some of his C64 stuff on pouet.net and it looks good. It's a shame the Amiga community will have to wait a bit longer, but at least the C64 community is getting something too.

I would have thought the Amiga would be a much more enjoyable environment to program for than a poor old C64! (Don't abuse me, I have a C64 aswell and love it, but 680x0 is far nicer than 6502!)

Sorry for the ultra long delay but I definitely can't say no to a girl who speaks italian.
More serioulsy, I have worked a little bit on SPb (the intro to be more precise) between others projects and I have also drawn 3 others maps. I noticed that I started very wrongly when creating the way the sprites detect the obstacles...I will not have the time to rewrite the routines so the aftermath is : it will take more time to design levels.

My real A1200 is out of order (the led makes the amiga crash...) and I really sucks regarding the hardware problems. I have to work under WinUAE, not a problem but the tests will not be complete (WinUAE is good but I don't think it would emulate 100% the hardware) and also AsmOne seems to crash often under the emulator (strange...really strange).
I met Ralph Le Gall (a very cool guy) and he gave me his A500 (Salut a toi RalpH si tu me lis...).

Expect the intro of the game being released before 2009 (I sware!).
There is still bugs under WinUAE that didn't appeared on the real thing...strange, anyway I'll release the intro.

I apologise for not coming often and never gave a pseudo diary but I am unable to make several things at same time (I know people who are able but I can't), I work during my spare time and I've lazyness tendencies regarding the forums and email reactions-behaviours.

Cheers,

P.S. : sry for my bad english hope you will understand me stilll.

If the games is a great as it looks - it would help publish it with box etc.
(I run a med. size company that could finance it) - so Nori where are you?
may not help much, but might provide some motivation for completion!!

Yes, I believe you are correct Preseda.

Shame - it looked extremely promising. And my hopes were briefly raised when I saw new replies to this thread! Cruel world

Blask and Duckstroma wasn't the only Amiga announcements sent to us this week, as thanks to a heads up by our good friend Per Ola, we've been shown an exclusive video tease to an upcoming Amiga game called Super Pumpkin Bros. For those of you who remember this game, will know that this was a colourful arcade platformer, and that we had mentioned the game back in 2018 as an unfinished preview from 2007 which was also revisited and uploaded through the Pouet database.

Thanks guys for the kind comments but, I just stumble upon comments from a bunch of blokes about SPB.
I don't ask people to praise my work, I understand you could disklike it for good reason,
but I don't understand why those people wrote things like the ones I read :
"not forth a download", "I can do better in ZXSpectrum BASIC", "he's not able to program a scrolling".
These, are amongst other mockeries. But I still don't understand why precisely they dislike it as they
don't give any arguments and they even don't know there's no download link.
May be, they are harsh because it is a result of a group dynamic, plus the use of a non english
language makes them more daring, but unfortunately -for me- this is also my native language.
Younger, I'd probably have rush into a raging fight.
But the real hurting thing is they are several to agree about my game's shit, making me think there's inevitably something I did wrong in my game creation.
Now after that I can't get out of my mind the game is pure shit.
Gosh ! Depressing. I drop. I'm done.

PS: Don't misunderstood me, I'm not taking it personal or seriously, just that as I already said these comments pointed out that something wrong in the game.

Typical comments trolling imo. But I do not see any of those comments? I really like what I see in those videos, in my opinion it only needs a small tweak in enemy hitpoints (if those are not supposed to be some harder, later levels enemies).

To me the game is looking awesome and I really look forward to playing it.

Please try and ignore negative comments. You have created something that you like, and you should trust your own judgement.

Unfortunately no matter what you release people will post negative stuff, it’s just how the world works. Focus on the people who like what you’re doing and ignore the haters.

LeCaravage - unfortunately in the modern world we are connected up with every moron the world has to offer, that includes every moron that goes around slagging things off for whatever reason, normally due to them having a sad existence they feel like bringing others down to make them feel better.

It is hard to ignore people sometimes, but either come off that platform where the trolls are or come away for a while and see the bigger picture, of what basically is the voice of a few is not the voice of many, something Twitter users have a hard time getting their heads around!

I and others on here as you can read for many posts, are looking forward to the game, thats your inspiration right there!
