You don't want the DiskCopy program. It will copy a floppy to another one track by track, not looking at the files. What you want is to copy the files from floppy to harddrive. There are two choices: 1. open the destination harddrive, then drag the floppy icon into the harddrive's window. This will create a new directory on the harddrive and copy all files from the floppy into it. 2. open the floppy icon, select all files in that window and drag them onto the harddrive icon or into the harddrive window. This will copy all files to where you drag them. Be sure to select "window -> show -> all files" from the menu while the floppy window is active, otherwise some hidden files will not be copied. |

The "DiskCopy" program can be retrieved from your original "Workbench" floppy-disk (1.3 -> 3.1) or CD (3.5 & 3.9) in the System folder.
As mentioned by thomas, you shouldn't be requested this program to copy a floppy-disk to the HD. |

Hiya fellas, thanks.
Thomas. When it comes to workbench I know nothing mate. The whole reason I knew dickcopy even existed was becasue I tried both of the methods you mention (1 and 2) and both thimes that is what brough up the prompt saying my system couldnt do it as it didnt have diskcopy tool. So I thought if I found Diskcopy it would be able to. Incidentally, I couldnt grab all the icons in the floppy's draw as it would only let me do one at a time. But thats another matter and something I can live with. |

Simply "select all" from the drop-down menu. I'd rather use the CLI, though.
