[Found: Feudal Lords] Defender of the Crown-like game

I remember I used to play a game which was pretty similar to Defender of the Crown. Before starting your empire you choose your character, one of three or four different guys. I think one was good at economy, one had advantages in combat etc and I think one of them was named Malcolm (not sure however). Unfortunatly, I can't remember much more than this but do anyone here know which game this is?

Edit: I played this in the very early 90s.

@retro-gamer
oh yeah... I've enjoyed Iron Lord much more then Defender of the Crown (even this is some kind of blasphemy)

While I was capturing screens for the museum, I couldn’t stop playing, therefore here are 68 screens of this fine game.

looking at Feudal Lords in comparison with DotC strongly reminds me of "Gods" and his codemasters wannabe "Robin Hood : Legend Quest"
