Hey guys. I'd like to post a new render the way you want it with a blue theme. What kind of sizes do you want the render to be in?
And thanks for referring to me when posting your changed versions Much appreciated! |

Here's the first test in 1920x1080 for you to see. It's a bit dark and I'm rendering another lighter version. Only takes 5 minutes so a bit different than the original render times

Hope you enjoy your stay If that's how long it takes to render new versions in different colours, I'm sure you'll be getting plenty of requests |

Thanks
I've been here before but apparently something changed and my login 'vanished'. It was quite a while ago so I'm not surprised. Someone asked how the image was made. It was originally made in Lightwave 8 but now we're up to version 11 and things have become much better. Now all the cubes are instances with a random offset on the Y-axis. Much easier to handle. I guess there's around 6-8 million polygons in there since the boxes are subdivision surfaces to get the corners very smooth. I'm thinking about playing a bit around with the image, but if anyone have ideas please don't hesitate to write them here. |

Oh... I'm very happy that this thread has brought you to this Forum. I've never seen a thread alone for just a wallpaper, so it gives you an idea of how good yours is
I would like a 1024x768 version too if that's possible. Your colors seem deeper and better Last edited by Retrofan; 24 April 2012 at 00:53. |

I've made a 1024x768 PNG for you. It's not the exact same view but close. Let me know if it fits the bill for you. |

Yep, I like the plastic look and the retro feeling it gives (70's)
How does it look the ball in red and the rest like this last? Oh... the reflection too. Last edited by Retrofan; 24 April 2012 at 19:49. |

Wow I did realise this would get so much attention..
What I do is post all the new images on the first post so you don't have to look for them.. Nice to see it court the eye of the creator of the image, its a brilliant one at that.. Last edited by spannernick; 24 April 2012 at 22:28. |

Working on the red ball in the blue environment. I found some issues with raydiosity splotches where the scene is dark so I'm refining the resolution so I can get them removed. This takes a little while but afterwards it's much better and renders quicker.

@Johnim: No reason to. It's so simple that the models themselves should be doable by anyone. It's the surface/scene scettings that bear the brunt of the work.
Basically it's a subdivided sphere, and a subdivided box. |

I have done this a few times myself. It's really fun to do So far I haven't done any such work recently unless we're talking the new C64 from Commodore. Which really isn't a C64 ...

I have to say that your latest version is the one I like more. Did you watch the video I recorded with one Demonhellraiser did under my request and that I'm using as wallpaper in my Pc using DreamScene? [ Show youtube player ] I know I'm asking too much, but I will say what the best wallpaper (well, video-wallpaper) would be for me: The one of the video changing colors, but using your darker blue and .. around the ball the phrase "Only Amiga makes it possible" turning around the ball... Yes, I know, just a dream... but would be the best DreamScene movie ever. Last edited by Retrofan; 15 August 2012 at 04:26. |

Thanks Retrofan. I'll keep it in mind. Just got back from the pub here in DK, and I'll see what I can do to satisfy your request... Time to sleep before I go to work... Hehe!

Simply incredible
These are the best, red Amiga ball and a beautiful blue. The reflections in the ball make it more real. Last edited by Retrofan; 27 April 2012 at 10:34. |
