Games far better on the C64 than the Amiga

I'll start by naming a few:

Buggy Boy
Power Drift
Grand Prix Circuit
The Cycles
Ghosts & Goblins

The Amiga versions of all of these are terrible in comparison.

Flying Shark (100% sure, it looks so messy on Amiga that it's impossible to play)
Dizzy (all, maybe is just me - I prefer the black background and white egg )
New Zealand Story (maybe subjective again, for some reason I dont like it on Amiga)

Seriously?

For me it was an almost perfect port compared to the arcade.

It's not perfect, but certainly a very good conversion.

The C64 version on the other hand - ugh!

I haven't played the Amiga versions of quite a few of these. In my opinion NZS and R-Type are far better on the 64, I haven't played Batman on the 64 but I always thought the Amiga version was pretty good.

I think Giana Sisters is a great game on both machines. Why do people prefer it on the 64?

Giana Sisters C64 has far better controls, the jumps aren't that moon-esque. The graphics looks better too, in hardware relation.
