load games off 2 different partitions whdload?
Hey all.
I have my 1200 set up with classic wb and whd load. Just a quick question though, my 4gb card is setup with a system, games, and work partition. Following Fitz Steve's tutorial on YouTube I was able to set it up fine, however I was wanting to pop as many games over all in one go and delete the ones I don't need as I go. The problem is my Amiga is only using one partition leaving 2gb untouched, and the other full. Is there any way I can put games on the 'work' partition and use that along side my games partition? I'm really confused. Cheers Paul |

You can put the Games on any partition. They will always search the Sys: partition for WHDLoad.

Cool - so if I pop more games onto my fc then the Amiga will pick them up on another partition automaticlly?
Thats what I find confusing as it wasn't covered in the tutorial. Cheers ☺ |

I don't know what fc is.
If you Install them yourself then any assigns will point to the installation path. If they are pre Installed, and have assigns that point to Work:, and the pre installed game is on Games:, then you would need to alter the assigns for that game. You will only know for sure by running the game. |

Fc was me meaning flash card (lazy attempt failed!)
They are pre installed packs, I'm guessing I'll have to play about with it. I'd thought I'd ask before as I don't want to keep opening up my Amiga to remove card as I only have one. Cheers ☺ Paul |

Preinstalled WHDLoad games don't need assigns. Copy them wherever you want. All you need it "WHDLoad" in the C: folder of your Workbench.

Ah I see. Hopefully I won't run into any problems with it lol.
I usually wouldn't be bothered but there's that many games for the olde miggy, that I've probably only scratched the surface with the amount of games I've played back in the day. I'm sure there's lots of gems I've not heard of. Thanks for all your help |
