New HxC Floppy Emulator copy utility for Amiga
Allows files on the HxC floppy emulator media (e.g. SD card formatted as FAT32) to be copied to the Amiga file system, without needing to use HFE files.
This is especially useful for copying files larger than 880kB (the Amiga floppy disk size). For download, installation, limitations, and usage instructions, please see: https://github.com/gonk23/HXCFE_Amiga_copy_utility Even though the transfer speed is quite slow at the moment (slower than an actual floppy drive), it's still useful because it allows you to copy a whole folder of files in the background/overnight without interaction. Of course, if you have a CF/SD hard disk then you don't need this, unless it's installed inside your machine and you don't readily have access to the media. |

I can't test that configuration, however a user has reported success with it. The development thread is at: http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1853

This software is great for ripping unreleased on exotica AMIGA music tracks on the PC. If it adds a proper music ripping mode later on where it can grab even encrypted music tracs as well it would be the best music ripper ever made as every AMIGA track ever could then be ripped all on the PC.
I'm amazed at what it does just being able to get some of them. It can even rip Puggsy in it's proper tracker format which doesn't yet play in any deli/eagle/uade tracker yet which is useless but useful for people who make new ones. |

Hi,
I've made some other tests and it works on gotek if you copy the file to ram but fails if you copy the file to HDD. For a 1Mb file it takes about 6 minutes. Thanks again to gonk23, it's a useful tool. More details on torlus.com |
