Hi TCD,

I've been quietly uploading the Aminet 3 CD to my user folder while I've been online this evening. However, I got disconnected about 20 minutes ago with the upload 67% complete.

I have now reconnected and resumed the upload.

My FTP client (Core FTP LE) is presently showing a failed upload of 366981KB in my user folder. Please note that this upload is, as yet, incomplete (74% ATM).

When it completes, it will be 543925KB (556980133 bytes). I'll let you know when it is safe to move the file.

hi prowler,
ive been searching and leeching apc&tpc aka AndreasM site, and what did i find there in the asd section. almost all aminet covers uploaded by the man himself even his own apc stuff. Also found the covers for the phase 1-4 cd's. wanna have?
so i only need the back covers from you.

when im finished sorting out the covers i will post them once.

Hi Exile,

AndreasM takes liberties sometimes, as you have seen.

I wasn't being awkward when I expressed reluctance to upload Aminet covers, they had to be removed from the EAB server on a previous occasion.

I have the back covers for the EMC Phase 4 and Index CDs which I can upload for you, and I would appreciate anything you have managed to grab for the others, although the Phase 1 disc is the only other one I have. There should be no objection to uploading those. Thanks.

Well, the request was by PM, which got me thinking...

Strictly speaking, it's an Amiga Operating System and, as such, it might invite controversy if I were to upload it.

This way I'm giving the ne'ersayers a chance to do their worst before I get it up there.

Well, the sh!t hasn't hit the fan yet and, as it's a relatively small upload, I thought I might go ahead this evening.

Okay, I've uploaded the CD image to the CD/AmigaCD folder.

I'm preparing a text file with installation instructions in English and German which will follow shortly. The text file will stay until I get the inserts scanned and uploaded in the next couple of days.

Edit: Test file's up too now.

Amiga Utilities Vol.2 Double CD (2000+ PD Soft utils, Oct 91-Jan 96)

is the vol2 a continuation of the first, as in 1501-3501 or does it contain 1-2000

No, mate, they're not up yet. When I compiled that list my broadband service had just been upgraded to more gigabytes per month than I could ever hope to use and I was keen to get uploading with plenty of spare time on my hands as well.

Since then, although my broadband speed and data haven't changed, my spare time seems to have evaporated, so I've stopped uploading titles where there isn't sufficient interest.

When I received those CDs (I bought them on eBay), I checked them to see if they were okay (which they were). It had crossed my mind that they might have overlapping content, but I bought threm anyway because they were cheap. The problem is that I can't remember what I disovered. I don't think they are Volumes 1 and 2 of the same series, so they might well overlap.

I have no CD-ROM drive connected to the machine I'm using ATM, so I'll have a look at them and come back tomorrow with the answer for you. Then, if you would like me to upload one or both of them, I will.

The first CD contains the PD Soft disks 1-1500 in DMS format complete with index, plus various utilities to access the disks' content, display readme files, etc.

The second (Vol.2) double CD contains (on Disc B) the PD Soft disks 1-1500 in a re-released version of the above CD, plus (on Disc A) the PD Soft disks 1501-2050 in similar fashion, plus a variety of extra utilities in LHA format, many of them ready to run direct from the CD, organized by category.

Both CDs are published by PD Soft, but are not part of the same series. I imagine that Amiga Utilities Vol.1 was similar to the Utilities Professional Amiga CD, with additional utilities included, but with fewer disk images as a consequence of that.

The upshot is that if you have the Amiga Utilities Vol.2 Double CD, then you don't require the Utilities Professional Amiga CD as well.
