Amibook.net would be even shorter, but of course that would cost $7.50 per year. </lemon>
Looks like a neat community package to install on a dedicated site, I guess it doesn't have Facebook-like stuff like buddy-only sharing, privacy etc but is a public site? I guess it has spam protection and moderation? There are many questions but you could maybe give a little introduction as to what the site is intended for? |

True amibook.net would cost a penny or two, and a webhost. True, it does not have buddy-only sharing right now. and it is a public site. I have test drived the site on an host there i know spam bots register, and not a singel spam bot regged. It does have moderation by me right now. But i guess i dont have to moderate so much, amiga people are good people. Small intro. A community site, with photosharing, videosharing, blogs, events, forum. I hope more good plugins come so i can make the site better. It would be sweet to have it more like facebook. unfortnelly there are some limits in the community software, but i hope they will be solved. |

winloze99: it's good that you've done some checking, was just wondering whether it was just for hanging out in general or had some specific topic. Being more like a public forum rather than Facebook crap filled with thousands of closed subgroups, friend collecting, like buttons and data mining is just a positive thing to me
