I don't think an AGA Turrican ever existed.

hello,
i just digged out some stuff written at amigagames.com:
..........................
Turrican IIOne Filed Version

In 1996 Zer0-X had made an AGA fixed and Harddisk installable One filed version of Defjam's cracked version, which was trained by Hawk of Setrox. A quitable patch for this release is also available
...........................
sorry for the misunderstanding. i mean aga fixed and hd installable...
what in general is an AGA fix? prevent the system from flickering (like pal/ntsc fixing?)?

I understand now AGA fixing is to make a game compatible with AGA machines, for example R-Type 2 doesn't run on A1200 but an AGA fixed version does.

I've found the following file on my HD:

turrican (1990)(rainbow arts)[h][f aga][hd].zip

It clearly says Turrican 1 but I can upload if you wish.

hi burseg,
it would be really nice if you could upload this special version...
btw: can any user of the board use the zone? (including me )
thanks in advance.

@andreas: you mean 'game name + AGA' could mean 2 different things sometimes?

yes you can, but you require to have a certain post count. Only RCK knows the exact number, though

just to add something useful to this thread:
I remember "Second Samurai AGA" to identify as an AGA fix, too, not as an AGA version, because AFAICS, there weren't any graphical improvements perceptible when play-testing the game (or did you happen to witness any?)

I've only played one version of Second Samurai and it was on my plain A1200 so it must be the AGA or AGA fixed version. I didn't count the number of colors though

Turrican I and II are one of my fave games for the Amiga ever!
And as far as I know, anyone who has registered can use the zone right away
I'm pretty sure that you do not need to post even

More useful if you don't put your signature on your posts; read the rules.

I downloaded Turrican 2 HD from TomTom's. It works fine on my A1200, so it is AGA fixed. The URL is http://www.tomtoms.amiga-spiele.net/Games.html

Second Samurai

There was an ECS and an AGA version of Second Samurai. When Renegade / Fairlight cracked the ECS version, he also fixed all the blitter waits so it would work on the AGA machines, whereas the original ECS version of the game would not work on AGA.

So visually there were no difference between the two, right?
