2.8.0 vs 2.7.16?

Tried to search for this, looked in FS-UAE site, yet couldn't find an answer. Nothing in the stickies, no big "2.8.0" announcement in September (didn't look further back).

Seems the dev version (2.7.16) is dated 15 Sep 16 (only mentioned in the blog), while the stable is... 2.8.0 with unknown release date. The release is not even mentioned in stable releases page (last mentioned 2.6.2!!!)...

So is 2.8.0 newer as the version shows, or not?

Hi, yes, I did not manage to make an announcement about it before I had to leave for a few days. But anyway;

2.8.0 is exactly the same as 2.7.16dev. Only the version number is different. (2.7.16dev was "promoted" to the new stable 2.8.0 version).
