Amiga games that barely looked better than the c64 version...
Saw a youtube video of Platoon on Amiga and thought it looked a LOT like the C64 version (which was the one I played at the time). There are differences obviously, but not by much..
Other unimpressive Amiga versions (or maybe its because C64 versions were impressive..) Giana Sisters... I'm sure there's a whole bunch of them. Whats your "is that really an Amiga screenshot" -moment? |

Bubble Bobble is quite similar on both platforms.

I have the C64 version, and it's atrocious to play and look at. I'd prefer to go to work than imposing me to play the whole game on C64. Hideous at best, pure chore ! |

Bone Cruncher.
Still great brain teasing fun when you figure out how to play and get the hang of it. |

This is what Super C home version should be. Amiga could do this? Could do even better than this.... |

R-TYPE springs to mind. Seems only marginally better on Amiga.

@lordofchaos
I expected an R-type port at the same level of PC-Engine, so a bit a disappointment but was not too bad... |

@saimon69 Yeah, the playability is still there I imagine the developers didn't have much time to port it either.

This one too probably... (Barbarian)
[ Show youtube player ] And as the uploader suggests.. the C64 had the cool music, so overall experience was actually better on the c64 ;-) |

Last Ninja 2 is just garbage on CPC, they should made it in mode 0, and even in this respect, we got mode 0 16 colors crap screens straight from the C64 on LNRx.....
Flimbo's quest would be great if it was converted from the ST or the Amiga to CPC, and not from C64...... Barbarian from Palace, great graphics, unfortunately slowed down due to direct conversion from the C64 real time on CPC ! This means that redone, this game could be fast (at last), instead of this slow pace engine ported directly from the C64 |
