ACA 1231/42 for sale

Roll up, roll up...

I am selling ACA 1231/42 accelerator that I have had from new since Jan 2012. For those who might not know this is an accelerator for the Amiga A1200 which speeds it up to a very nice 42mhz, adds 63mb of memory (+1mb for mapping the ROM to) and adds a Real Time Clock although you will need to fit it with the appropriate battery.

If anyone wants the SYSInfo details for this card let me know and I will re-install it in my A1200 and run the tests. From my point of view I can say I have been extremely happy with the performance of this great accelerator card - 3d games get a nice boost and I was able to load up Doom (Doom Attack and ADoom) with decent screen sizes and find it playable and, more importantly, enjoyable.

Please be aware that your A1200 may require "timing fixes" to ensure compatibility with some of the ACA cards but the compatibility is supposed to have been improved in the 1231+ series I believe.

The accelerator is packaged in it's original box and is in excellent condition.

I am asking for £125gbp for the card which includes UK postage (insured for £500, next working day signed-for delivery) or an extra £10gbp for postage worldwide (insured for £50, signed-for delivery) making a total of £135gbp. Payment via Paypal please using the gift or send money to friends option rather than payment for goods.

The only reason I am selling it is because I have a recently upgraded.

Thanks for reading.

Hi!

Would you consider a swap or part ex against something else?

Hi, Fitzsteve.

I'm not sure there's anything Amiga related that I'm after really if that's what you meant. What sort of things have you got to barter with (amiga or non-amiga related)?

Hi,

I have a Dreamcast with approx 30 PAL games, mini keyboard, DC-x to play imports, pads, VMU's, etc. It's unboxed and a little yellowed on top but works great, games vary in condition.

Would that be of interest to you?

I have a Boxed NES with about 10 Games, but the NES might need a new connector slot soon as some Games are troublesome to get working.

I've let a lot of my Amiga stuff go, I have various Games and software up for sale on Amibay if any of that interests you?

I have a big lot of Atari 2600 stuff I'd be willing to let go, 2x 2600's (1 is woody) and about 40 games.

Otherwise of it's still around in a week or so I might be in a position to buy.

Steve.

There's some cool bits n bobs there, Fitzsteve, but my mrs would rip me a new one if I acquired a different set of retro gaming merchandise.

I'm in no hurry to sell so if no other interested parties pip you to the post you could well be in luck given a week of 2.

Good luck.

The card is still available. If anyone is interested please send me a message - I may even be able to get it posted before the end of the week depending on when payment clears.

Hi, virtualnut.

I'm not in any real hurry to sell so not really open to negotiations on the price. I need to get at least these prices to justify how much I spent on my upgrade. Sorry. But maybe that gives you enough time to save up?

Methinks you're going to need a big box of chocolates to talk your way out of this one!
