Controls for Lotus Esprit Turbo
Hi all,
Great to have such a community still alive for the Amiga 500. I liked to play lots of games on it, and certainly Lotus! I just managed to get it working, does anybody know how to play this game on the keyboard? I cannot do anything except for opening the WinUAE version 08:23 with F12 I like to play it! Can you imagine my frustration, so close yet so far away to play this game! I have Windows 10 home running, 64 bit. Many thanks in advance for letting me know! Bring up the WinUAE menu and go down to Host -> Game Ports.
Select the keys you'd like in port 2. I think the default is numeric keypad (2,4,6,8) and 0 for fire. It sounds like you'd probably want Keyboard Layout B which is cursor keys and CTRL for fire. |

Thanks for the quick reaction. I think I am at the right section (click on F12 when in the game), but it does not support me. I have attached two pictures, do you mean I should change anything here? I have tried this myself already, unfortunately without any result. Can you let me know what you mean? Many thanks in advance! |

Heya Arthur,
Welcome to EAB Any reason why you are using such an old version of WinUAE? v0.8.23 was released at the end of 2003... Have you tried the latest version i.e. v3.5.0? With this you do the following: ...but if you must use such an old version; set: a) "Amiga Mouse Port 0" = "PC Mouse" b) "Amiga Mouse Port 1" = "Keyboard Layout B" Keyboard Layout B is as follows: movement: up / down / left / right arrows button 1: right Ctrl + right Alt button 2: right Shift |

Hello DamienD,
I have to admit that I have d/l this emulator long time ago. Each time I try to make it work, but then I leave it alone for some months or years. It has been a while I guess since I have d/l it The settings are indeed correct, I can play now! Excellent to play that again, the only pity is that it stays quite small when using the old emulator. So, I have d/l the new one and then it is possible to switch to full screen! You have made my day Damien, thanks a million! Let`s see how much I will still recognise along the way. |
