The default date is locked to 1978 in all Amigas.

FromWithin, that's the ST-01 disk we all want's. The one from the original Ultimate Soundtracker. Can you upload it to The Zone!?

Yeah, FromWithin, that's what we're looking for, if it came with the Ultimate Soundtracker, it's probably good. Dunno if there's any differences with the original Soundtracker release. One can only wait and see.

Thinking about it too..was the Ultimate Soundtracker v1.0 ever ripped? I know of v1.21 being available, unless that was the first released version. |

If you format a new disk it will be given the current system date, and if you copy a file it is by default given the current system date, so the dates on an original ST-01 or ADF should be somewhat coherent. If all you have is a zip archive made from copies of copies then I agree, the dates are useless. Anyway it was just an idea... Scuzz seems to be your best source for finding an original and unmodified disk. |

You don't have the original disk image? We're kinda trying to get that. Did you copy these yourself from that original disk?
Sorry to ask these, just trying to assert the source of all these loose sample files. The date-stamp on them is 5 January 1988, which seems about right if they came with Ultimate Soundtracker. Thanks for uploading these! |

My 'ST' disks got up to about 30 and started when I copied Soundtracker (ST-00 and ST-01) at a computer club in what must have been 1988. All of my original tunes (about 70 of them) were in song format, not saved as modules, so the contents of each instrument disk had to remain intact otherwise I wouldn't have been able to reload any of the music. Samples never got deleted or changed and when one disk was full I would start a new one with the ST value incremented by 1. About 5 years ago when I was still using my real Amiga, I copied the contents of all the disks to my hard drive. All of the samples were collated into one folder. The real disks were given along with my big Psygnosis dev disk collection to be ripped and archived. I'll see if I can get the actual disk imaged, but the samples in the zip file are the ones from that disk.

In any case the sample pack is good, hopefully Robyn can take a moment to check them for inconsistencies with other packages. I never heard back from Mahoney or anyone else that might have had the original so you are our best bet.
Thanks for the info FromWithin! The only Psyggy dev pack I have, I think from the first disks ripped, doesn't contain any ST-01 disks unfortunately Anybody else has more? |

Looking and comparing, it seems this has all the unedited samples apart from 'Touch' (Horns, JahrMarkt2 and Jetes seem to be corrupted, but I presume that wasn't on the original disk). Rather confused about this. |
