I just played 2.4 on a friends amiga and there are a few differences.

I completed a meteor storm with fire pressed (super score etc) and received 5000 cash Also there is no armour in the shop and the gfx are not as colourful (though it might have been the ECS version)!

Nice.. I guess it would have the older speech samples aswell.. hehe I like those ones better - rather humerous. The newer female speech is a bit cheesy imo :P

This has gone a bit quiet.... surely there must be more people who want to enter?

Not a lot of people voting for DG anyways, so why did it win?

I'll give it a go this weekend, too. But last time had problems getting it to run, only got a messy picture.

Well, yeah. Surely even Shoonay would know that

Interestingly*, it didn't actually score a single first-place vote, but still won.

*not that interesting

Hmm... maybe you should try one of the versions I've put in the Zone, if you haven't already? It's strange, there's no reason why it shouldn't work, maybe you could give us details of your WinUAE config?

Also if anyone else fancies taking part, I've put the versions of the game you're allowed to use in the Zone again to avoid confusion and to stop you hunting around for them

Bump (again)

Into the last five days now... this thing is still going by the way, even if it doesn't seem like it

Anyone else?

I was playing hard yesterday but couldn't make it more than 7 million. My record in this round is more than 8 million so I didn't bother

Gave the game a whirl yesterday and was able to beat my score (around 1,200,000 I think). If I can't improve on that I'll post it on Friday.

I might give it a go but I'm pretty busy.

I figure even if I get a score of 1 I'll be on the score table at this rate

I love this contest, but buzy-ness keeps me away. Don't think i will be able to compete in next game either, because then it's vacation and summertime means no-computer time...

I now expect someone to score something like 50 points and post it on here, thus heroically securing 8th position
