Err.. the obvious comes to mind (it involves a certain domain name, a certain body orifice and a certain action that combines the previous two )

Unhappy aye..

Hi all.

Aye, AmigaMOS is gone for good.

After starting at the university it got zero time anymore. I tried to sell AmigaMOS so people could keep on using it but no luck

I'm sorry about the crappy way it closed, but my host closed it down instantly when they found out i couldn't pay for it anymore. (fair enough i guess)

I want to thanks people like: RCK, Malc, Jeti, Jambo, CodyJarrett....and so on, for helping and supporting AmigaMOS (practically and mentally)

Amiga Forever!

Regards,
MosMensk

erm, I don't live on the same planet or .. ?

- http://www.amigamos.com/ -> still alive but not updated, have you lost control over it ?
- "mosmensk2" -> lol ?! you still have one account there, and the auto send password function can help you if you forget it. Moreover you can just send me one email in order I fix your old account login if you want.

Sorry to hear about AmigaMOS going under

I'm not dead or anything guys. Just waaaay too busy to be updating a standard HTML site all the time. Just wait until spring next year for the new ALE to come to life.

You can probably still catch me on here until then and email me via:

malc@emuunlim.com or malc@ultimathule.net OR icq: 55899810 if you want me for anything.

This is sad news.

Are there any other sites which are similar?

no, portal first goal are only to have a lot of visit + lot of ads (we already get enough visit with current domains), my actual goal is to have maximum of quality of service, not visits

And unfortunately those rankings were so often skewed by flooding the votes from unsavory sites. The ranks had nothing to do with the quality of a site, nor with anything resembling reality. I have seen sites in the Top 20 before that didn't even exist anymore!

Eek

OH DAMN...

The best things of amigamos.com were definitely the MANUALS and, of course, the design.

It was for reasons of bandwidth exceeding that I did NEVER think of downloading ALL those manuals.
Maybe I should have done this IN TIME, because now there's no way to get to the manuals anymore...

Bloody world...

I have the AmigaMOS manuals for all of the good games :-) didn't download the ones for the crap games :-( If you want something I might have it. Or maybe I could make an archive of them if anyone is interested? But as noted, it's not the complete collection.
