This place sells the PowerPMC-250 and has lots in stock.

http://embeddedsales.com/productpage...c/miscvme.html

His price is $500 plus shipping. Not cheap. He posted this message earlier in the thread http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...postcount=1629

The Ramix 239/F PMC carriers comes up on ebay from time to time. One sold last week for $50.

Anybody who wants a "free" Rapture+Adapter can still claim my bounty. I'm holding onto one (or two maybe) for this purpose.

are:

  • Mini Metal Slug
  • Exult
In my opinion, that is 68k applications, not WarpOS!?

No. The Dosbox 0.72 WOS is in this thread somewhere. Mini Metal Slug and Exult WOS are up on Aminet.

There's a new Hexen WOS too if you want something else to try.

Who wanna see Sonnet G4 in action and comparison with G3/500 model? Read my article.

Note: I got few remarks about lower FPS then is usual (Voxelspace for example), this can be caused by my own specific settings of system or drivers. Anyway both cards were tested on the same Amiga with same RAMs, so what is important that's the comparison.

Sonnet memhack version for Jack3d, don't know if it works.

Reminds me in your article:
Quote:
It is absolutely the same PCB, just with different CPU. This brings a question, if exchanging the CPU we could change G3 to G4?
There is a resistor difference at R62, at one point I figured out what signal this was, but yeah they should be replaceable.

Also replaceable with 7410-in theory, which would allow 2MB of L2 cache, the extra address lines appear to be connected on the Sonnet.

So if you upgrade to 7410 and it still works, which would be good as the 7410 uses less power than the 7400 on the Sonnet G4, you could then maybe probably then replace the two 512KB cache chips with 1MB for 2MB total-at 250MHz, which since you bought the fastest 500MHz 7410, should be able to actually run at 250MHz-in theory. Let me know how this works out.

Also you mention Altivec cannot be used, this is not correct. At a minimum it requires a recompile. Attached is Hedeon's Dnetc that he prepared.

Thanks for great job, as always Jack3D Now I see differences- very interesting :-)

About low FPS in Voxel Space.
You can tray option CGX, not P96 and you will see difference.
I have on my Sonnet G3 400Mhz about 103 FPS

Guys, how fast is a 200MHz 604e with Voxelspace on a 320x240 RTG screen?

People are claiming that a 450MHz PPC chip should reach 500fps. So I guess the 200MHz 604e does like 200 fps? The program fits in the L1 cache so L2 is not of significance here.

Amithlon 1.3GHz Athlon TB, GF2 MX-200, 640x480, P96 -> 140fps (130-170fps)
Amithlon 1.3GHz Athlon TB, GF2 MX-200, 1280x1024, P96 -> 31fps (20- 35fps)

http://www.amigahistory.plus.com/emu...hlonbench.html

39 fps maximum when displayed on a CV64/3D 320 x 240 x 8-bit screen, switching to the same CVPPC screen instantly ups that maximum rate to over 100 fps

That screenshot was before overclocking all three CS-PPC clocks,
its around 130fps now

here are some more interesting benches
